I really can't find the words to express what I feel right now. If there's such a thing as fangirl heaven, I think I'm there at this very moment!

I SAW MYSELF AT THE L'arc~en~Ciel L'7 Documentary Films DVD!

What's so amazing is the fact that all five of us, (chenn, chelli, rjene, triccie and me) made it into the DVD! Imagine, of the hundreds of fans that gathered at the HK airport that faithful afternoon, we five were like the chosen ones. Chosen to be immortalized in the pages of L'arc history! This is the ULTIMATE fangirl experience!

Here's a screencap of my L'arc DVD debut! (LOL)

Here's the twins...

me and rjene

Officially, We are now part of the L'arc~en~Ciel history!

See if you can find us? hehehe
(i'll give you a clue, look closely between 0:23-0:26... LOL!)

The DVD is just awesome! Lots of funny moments from the boys...
Here's one of our favorites:

this one just made me love hyde more... )

6th-Feb-2009 08:53 am - look, it's a rainbow!
hydeonfloor

as I was walking home earlier today, I saw a rainbow! I really had to stop and look up. It's been so long since I last saw one. It was very bright and it was sparkling. It was a very pretty sight.  Sorry for being overly sentimental but somehow, seeing a rainbow on a random day like today and in a very noisy and crowded city lifted my spirits. I was smiling on my home home. ^__^

Here's a picture I took with my phone. (Gomen for the poor quality! My phone's really not meant for taking pics :p)

The rainbow made me really happy today. I hope it also brought smiles to others who saw it as well. Sometimes it just takes trivial things, like a rainbow, to make a crappy day seem bearable, ne?

Hope the feeling lasts through the weekend! ^^__^^

4th-Feb-2009 11:12 am - J-Melo Awards
hydeguitar

Are you familiar with the NHK music show J-Melo? Aside from Shounen Club and SCP, it's one of NHK's music programs that I watch. I've seen a few episodes of this and they basically play j-pop/j-rock PVs and give out the latest news and infos about famous jap artists. In one of the episodes, the theme was "sakura", I was able to see Arashi's Sakura Sake and Melody's Realize. And Oh, did I mention this show is in English! hehehe...

Since J-Melo's main target are non-Jap folks like me, they play requests they receive from all over the globe. And apparently they have this year-end J-Melo awards in which they recognize the top ten most requested artists.

Guess who's Number 1?

Most Requested Act of 2008

The Second J-MELO Awards (2008): Most-Requested Artists

No.1 L'Arc~en~Ciel -(I knew it! Laruku really has a huge fanbase outside Japan! Omedetou!!!)
No.2 Arashi - (with their sold-out AAA tour, they just have to be in this list, ne?! )
No.3 Hey!Say!JUMP (this was a surprise, really?! number 3?! o_O)
No.4 melody
No.5 KAT-TUN (Omedetou Kame! hehehe, utang na loob, lumabas na kayo ng Japan this year! LOL!)
No.6 NEWS (they also had concerts outside Japan already, no surprise there. ^_^)
No.7 Tohoshinki (teka, Korean group sila di ba??? hehehe..)
No.8 Hikaru Utada (of course, Utada is Utada, 'nuff said.)
No.9 ALICENINE. (yay! another j-rock band!)
No.10 YUI

And in case your curious about the first J-Melo Awards... )

L'arc en Ciel!!! kyaaa~ for two consecutive years!! *bows*
Now they really have to continue with that world tour! hehehe

this makes me want to write and send an email request.. hmmm...

3rd-Jun-2008 04:21 am - My Laruku Live Adventure (part 2)
l'7 logo
I've never considered myself lucky. But I started to think that I'm the luckiest person alive after my HK airport experience! Let me tell you in details....

This will be a long post. No pictures/videos yet, we are still consolidating all our papparazzi shots! hehehe

When my friends and I went to HK, we were there to watch the concert. We always made jokes that we could stalk Laruku while we're there! You know, follow them around, go and knock at their hotel rooms "Housekeeping!" and all other fan girl stalker  fantasy we could dream of. I read somewhere that for their earlier concerts (I think it was in Shanghai) they arrive a day prior to the concert date, at around noon. So when we arrive at the HK airport, we were already checking the flight arrival details. There were 4 or 5 flights coming from Tokyo that Friday, the earliest would be arriving at around 1:25pm. We were still at the airport at around 11:30am. We saw some girls in gothic lolita outfits loitering around the airport. We knew they were different from the fangirls (of those Taiwanese actors) earlier. I just knew that they were fellow Laruku fans. maybe because of their outfits or maybe just because I also saw them, craning their necks to see what time the next flight from Tokyo would arrive! LOL!

When we finally met with Triccie, Chelli's friend (who was really nice to accomodate the twins! ^__^) we all decided to go first to our respective accomadations. The twins will stay with Triccie (at his uncle's condo) and me and Rjene will be at the Royal View Hotel in Tsuen Wan. Honestly, we didn't want to leave the airport at that time, we were all getting freaked out by the possibility of L'arc showing up there! But since we really had to go, we hurriedly left the airport, and agreed that we all have to be back by 1pm at the airport!

We dashed to the hotel, checked-in our bags and dashed back to the airport. Our hotel which was supposedly just 15 minutes away from the airport, turned out to be further way AND there were no public transportation nearby. The hotel does have a shuttle that will take us to the nearest MTR station but we missed it by a few minutes and the next one would arrive half an hour later!

Time check - It was already 5 minutes past 1pm! I was going crazy! We took a cab from our hotel to the airport, we didn't care about the cost (hehehe.. it was $237 HKD! but for L'arc I'd gladly pay more! LOL! ) ! I can't explain what went through my mind in those few minutes! I was really panicking. (again, at this time we were not even sure if L'arc was coming!) my hands were cold, and my heart was really beating fast. I was praying like mad inside the cab! Please Hyde-sama, wait for me!

Our cab driver speak very little english so he can't understand our instructions. We kept telling him to drop us off at the arrival area, but he still went ahead at the departure area! It was already 1:45pm when we arrive at the airport. Rjene and I ran like mad inside the airport! When we finally arrived at Terminal 1, there were already more than a hundred Laruku fans waiting! You can see girls with banners (which we later learned were Cielers HK members), bananas were being waived in the air! You just know L'arc~en~Ciel is coming!

We finally met Chenn, Chelli and Triccie. They also had to chase a bus just to make it in time. We haven't even finished our exchanges when the crowd started screaming!

Lo and behold... L'arc~en~Ciel has arrived! Everyone went crazy! I automatically pressed the record button of my digicam (this time I made sure it was recording! LOL!)

I saw Hyde first. (of course, I was looking for him first! XXXDDD) He was smiling, it seemed like he was also surprised to see the crowd. We were really loud. I was screaming Hyde! Haido! Haido-sama! It was pure chaos!

Next thing I knew, we were all moving! Everyone was trying to see and film Laruku! I have to admit, they had good security this time. I was actually afraid of what might happen in the airport when they arrive (flashes of Matsujun being mobbed by fans in the same airport came to mind!) When the band started to move, the whole crowd just followed. I was desperately trying to get a good shot of Hyde and since I'm not that tall (OK, I'm five feet tall!, Yes I'm that small! LOL!) I just had to fight my way through the crowd!

I actually got to see Hyde closely , REALLY CLOSE! He was smiling, more like smirking! I saw his unshaven face with those big, dark sunglasses! (Observation: Hyde's skin was really smooth! He was so HOT!!!) Hyde was walking ahead of the other band members, and we (my friends) noticed that he seemed to be deliberately walking really slow! Are you teasing us Hyde-sama? XXDD

While I was still in shocked at seeing the band in the flesh, the crowd started moving again, I tried to move as well but someone was stepping on my sandals! I CAN'T MOVE! People around me started pushing. I really can't do anything. I just felt myself being pushed sideways.

End result:  I fell on the ground with several others piling on top of me!

At that time, I didn't feel any pain, I knew I had to get up to catch up with Laruku. I pushed those girls on top of me and I got back on my feet. My digicam was recording everything, so if you watch my vids, (pictures and videos to follow, we're still trying to consolidate everything! v^_^v) it was really funny, one second I was trying to focus on Hyde, the next you'll see the airport's ceiling! LOL!!!

I ran back to catch up with the others, I saw Chenn and Chelli. The band went downstairs but since the three of us we're small, we decided to stay on the side of the staircase, one level above the ground. We filmed Laruku from above! Our view was really good, no obstructions, we really had good shots from above! ^__^

We then ran downstairs and again tried to get a good look at the band. They were escorted to their SUVs. Hyde and Tet-chan were first to be safely boarded into their vehicles. While Ken and Yukki were waiting for their ride, I got a very close shot at them. Ken lit a cigarette before boarding their van. I was screaming Yukkie! Yukkie! And to my surprise, he actually turned his head to look at us!

As their vehicles drove away, fans we're all shouting Ganbatte! Arigatou! Ganbatte!
and then they were gone....

We were all screaming. I believe everyone felt so lucky to be part of that crowd!

WE SAW L'ARC~en~CIEL!

I can't help it, I was also teary-eyed a few minutes later. I saw Chenn and Chelli and then Rjene. Rjene started crying, she was really overwhelmed, same as everyone, and she lost her phone in that chaos (but the phone was later returned!).  We just started hugging each other, tears were everywhere! We were all so happy , we were talking all at the same time! I was telling them that I fell down to the floor and kinda caused a minor "stampede". By this time, I was already feeling the bruises in my knees! My feet were also sore and I had minor scratches, (perhaps when people started stepping on me!) We were all laughing and talking and crying and hugging when we noticed that several cameras we're taking pictures of us. There were professional journalists filming us! I was shocked to see us surrounded by the HK media! (more on this on the next post!)

Here's a photo of us, which also appeared on a HK newspaper, Oriental Daily! Yeah! We were in the newspaper spread, alongside Laruku's pictures! Got this from Triccie's site, (so I'm Hime, and Triccie's the one that says ME! got it?!)

This is really long! Gomen ne! I just have to put all the details that I remember...

More on our adventure on my next post.....

3rd-Jun-2008 02:39 am - My Laruku Live Adventure (part 1)
l'7 logo

I'm not really much of a blogger. I created this LJ account long ago hoping that I will find time (someday) to write about something. I forgot my own LJ username and password  that I had to go to my friend's page to look for my username! Yes, I am that pathetic!

So why this post now, you ask? It's because recently I experienced something so great, so dreamlike, that I knew I had to write it down somewhere and share it with my friends, (not that I haven't told them about this yet, more like I already bored them with my stories! nyahaha!)

Back in February, (I know I should have written this before!), I got the surprise of my life. I saw the official announcement regarding L'arc~en~Ciel's 2008 Tour - L'7 Trans ASIA via PARIS. I actually fell off my chair when I saw that they were playing in Hong Kong! I'm a big Laruku fan (go figure!), so the news that they will be playing near my country really got me all worked up! My friends, Chenn, Chelli and Rjene planned this trip as soon as we found out. Thanks to Chelli's friend, Edith, we secured our tickets for the con!

Fast forward...

May 23, 2008, Friday - Chep Lap Kok Airport, HK

We arrived at the airport 10mins earlier than scheduled, it was not my first time in HK but I was really excited (I was there to watch L'arc~en~Ciel live, why won't I be excited?!) While waiting in line for Immigration, I saw this tall guy, who seemed really familiar. I was like Isn't he.. the guy .. from ISWAK? Chelli also recognized him and confirmed my hunch, he was Jiro of the Taiwanese band Farenheit! I turned automatically to fan girling mode. I think the other people in line didn't notice him at first but because I was really hyper and was talking loudly to my friends (gomen! didn't mean to do that!), they had to look and see what the commotion was about. Jiro was there in front of us but we were all shocked (not counting the fact that we were standing a few feet from HK immigration officers!) that we didn't took a picture of him! He had no bodyguards. We ended up joking that he was there to watch the concert! (which turned out to be true! more on that later! ^_^)
The day was really starting to be exciting!

When we went out at Terminal B, I saw that there were a small group of people, holding banners and cards, waiting. Of course, I had to see who they were waiting for! I saw their banners and saw a picture of Mike He! I was again, in fan-girling mode and was telling my friends OMG! OMG! I know him! My friends had to drag me away from the crowd so we can eat. We decided on Burger King since it was familiar and because it was near the terminal. I told them that I would really run to the crowd to see Mike when I hear the crowd screams. I was just finishing my burger when they did, I really rushed to meet the crowd (who were also chanting Hebe! I think Hebe is a different actor, heck, I''m not that familiar with their Chinese names!). I was there with my camera and I thought (read: thought!) I was recording everything on video. The fans were wearing black, same as me, so I really blended well! LOL!

After a few minutes, I had to pull away from the crowd and go back to my friends. They were all laughing at the way I rushed to see those taiwanese actors! I was really excited and i wanted to show them what I caught on camera! But NO! Blame it on excitement and stupidity, turns out, I was not able to record anything! I think I didn't push the record button properly. The only shot I got was nothing but crap and you won't see their faces.. what a loser!

To save face, I told my friends that I was just practicing so when L'arc comes, I know how to run and take papparazzi pictures! LOL!

And who would have known, that what I said would come true! ^__^

 And our L'arc adventure continues...
